3D to 2D

Artist Statement

For this assignment, we were asked to create a 2D image from the 3D artwork we made in class this semester. I choose to use only one of my pieces from this semester, I choose to work with my Map Relief project for the 2D image. I used Photoshop to manipulate the close-up images I took of the map. For me the image represents the many obstacles in life and how we overcome them. The needles are the obstacles and it is up to us which path to take.
